Santo Domingo is a delivery city. PedidosYa and Uber Eats take 25–30% off every order. This playbook is how DR restaurants shift 40% of that volume to their own storefront in the first 90 days.
DOP pricing, USD toggle for tourist zones
Base currency DOP. Turn on the USD toggle for Zona Colonial and Piantini storefronts — a good chunk of your customers there are billing in USD anyway.
Delivery zones the way Santo Domingo actually moves
- Piantini / Naco — 15-min radius, RD$200 fee.
- Zona Colonial — 20-min, RD$250, motorbike only.
- Bella Vista / Mirador — 25-min, RD$300.
- Everything else — quote via WhatsApp.
Semana Santa
The whole city empties toward the beach the Wednesday before Good Friday. Turn on 'Punta Cana / Boca Chica pickup box' — pre-order Wednesday, pick up on the way out of town.
Mangú breakfast pre-order
Sunday 7–10am is the highest-margin slot of the week. Broadcast the WhatsApp link Saturday night; expect 20% of your list to buy.
Payment reality
- Card at checkout for delivery.
- Cash on pickup or delivery — still 40% of orders.
- Bank transfer for large orders — Popular / BHD / Reservas.
